Your files never leave your device. We do not see your files, store your files, or transmit your files to any third party. File conversion happens entirely in your browser.
1. File Processing
MediaConvertKit processes all files entirely within your web browser using WebAssembly and JavaScript APIs (FFmpeg.wasm, Canvas API, pdf-lib, and PDF.js). No file you select is ever transmitted to our servers or any third-party server. We have no technical ability to access files you process with our tools.
2. Data We Do NOT Collect
We do not collect: the files you upload or convert, the names of your files, the content of your conversions, any metadata about your files, or information derived from your files.
3. Information We May Collect
We may collect standard web server log data (IP address, browser type, pages visited, time of visit) for security and performance purposes. This data does not include any file content and is not linked to file conversion activity.
4. Cookies
We do not use tracking cookies. We may use essential cookies for site functionality (such as preserving preferences). We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking.
5. Third-Party Services
We may use analytics tools that collect anonymized page view data. These tools do not receive any file data. FFmpeg.wasm binaries may be loaded from the unpkg.com CDN during your first conversion — this request does not include any of your file data.
6. Children's Privacy
MediaConvertKit is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will post the updated date at the top of this page. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
